DEMOLITION SERVICES
ONE EXPERIENCED TEAM FROM REMOVAL TO SITE PREPARATION
Cessnock Demolition provides coordinated demolition and site clearance services for homeowners, builders, renovators, commercial clients and property managers. Our work ranges from carefully removing an internal kitchen to clearing an entire house and preparing the site for its next use.
Using one experienced contractor for connected stages can make the project easier to plan. We can assess demolition risks, arrange asbestos testing and removal where required as part of the demolition, complete the physical work, remove waste and undertake excavation or concrete removal within an agreed scope.

COMPLETE DEMOLITION
Complete demolition removes an entire structure and associated materials within the agreed scope. This may include houses, sheds, garages, small commercial structures, decks, patios, pergolas, awnings and selected external features. Depending on the project, we can also remove slabs, footings and other concrete so the land is ready for rebuilding or further site works.
Before work begins, we consider the structure, access, nearby properties, services, hazardous materials and the required handover condition. We then select suitable machinery and a safe work sequence. Visit our Demolition page for more detail about full and partial demolition.

PARTIAL AND CONTROLLED DEMOLITION
Partial demolition removes only nominated sections of a building. It is often required for extensions, major renovations, structural alterations or the removal of an unsafe addition. This work requires precision because retained areas must remain protected and stable.
We clarify the demolition boundary, consider temporary support and service isolation requirements, and coordinate with plans or other project professionals where necessary. A clear scope helps prevent accidental damage and gives following trades a suitable starting point.
OUR SERVICES

Strip-outs
Strip-outs clear internal areas without demolishing the whole building. Common projects include kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, offices, shops, hospitality spaces and other interiors being prepared for refurbishment. Work can include the removal of cabinetry, fixtures, floor coverings, wall and ceiling linings, partitions and selected non-structural components.
Older interiors can conceal asbestos-containing materials. If suspected material may be disturbed, testing and licensed removal are built into the demolition process before the strip-out proceeds. See our Strip Outs page for residential and commercial applications.
Excavation and site preparation
Our excavation work supports demolition, construction, landscaping and property improvement projects. Services include site levelling, footing excavation, backyard excavation, concrete removal, site clearing and preparation for new building work.
Access, soil conditions, services, levels and the intended final use all affect the approach. We inspect these factors and use suitable machinery for the job. Visit our Excavation page to learn more.

Concrete cutting, breaking and removal
Old slabs, paths, driveways, patios and footings can obstruct a renovation or rebuild. We can cut, break, lift and remove concrete as part of a demolition or excavation project. The method depends on thickness, reinforcement, access and proximity to structures that are staying.
Where practical, concrete and other recoverable materials are separated from general waste for appropriate recycling or processing. The agreed quote will state what concrete is included and the expected final ground condition.
Waste removal and site clearing
Demolition is not complete when a structure is down. Materials must be sorted, loaded, transported and disposed of responsibly. We maintain an organised work area, use appropriate waste pathways and leave the site in the condition agreed for handover.
If you need a cleared site rather than demolition of a structure, contact us with details of the material, access and approximate volume. We will confirm whether the work fits our services and arrange an inspection if needed.

REQUEST A QUOTE FOR THE RIGHT SCOPE
The cost and duration of demolition services depend on the structure, materials, access, services, approvals, hazardous material risks, waste volumes and the required finish. A site-specific assessment is the best way to avoid assumptions and compare quotes fairly.
